The European Prison Litigation Network is a network of non governmental organisations active in the defense of prisoners’ rights. It currently federates 25 national NGOs and bar associations from 18 Council of Europe member states (14 EU countries, 3 countries from the Eastern and South-Eastern European Partnership and UK) which are recognized by civil society, public authorities and European bodies as the main actors in the defense of the fundamental rights of detainees in their countries
