EPLN e.V.

European Prison Litigation Network e.V. was founded in 2019 by German, French, Ukrainian and Russian lawyers, prisoners’ rights defenders and researchers with the aim to support advocacy and litigation efforts of EPLN in Europe. It was registered in Berlin under the German law on association.

EPLN e.V. aims at strengthening the judicial protection of rights and freedoms of prisoners in Europe and supports in particular the efforts of EPLN in Germany and in the Eastern Partnership.

EPLN e.V. is member of the network Réseau européen contentieux pénitentireire RCP / EPLN – France.

Board

Christine GRAEBSCH is a lawyer and criminologist, professor of law at the social work department of the Dortmund University of Applied Science and arts since 2011.

Christina LEDERER is a lawyer and barrister in Bremen, lecturer at the University of Bremen for the legal clinic project “legal advice for prisoners”.

Sven BURKHARDT is a defence lawyer and visiting Professor of Law of Social Work at the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund.
